Silicon Saxony
A place to stay for Infineon, Bosch and ESMC
About twenty minutes by car to Klotzsche and Wilschdorf – and in the evening you are in the city, not in an industrial estate.
How far is it to the plant?
The semiconductor plants are in the north of Dresden, our apartments in the west. Via the motorway that is a drive, not a journey:
- Infineon Dresden, Königsbrücker Landstraße, Klotzsche – about 9 km, roughly 15 minutes
- Bosch wafer fab, Robert-Bosch-Ring, Wilschdorf – about 14 km, roughly 16 minutes
- ESMC / TSMC, construction site in Klotzsche – about 13 km, roughly 16 minutes
- GlobalFoundries, Wilschdorfer Landstraße – about 14 km, roughly 16 minutes
- Dresden airport – about 18 km
Those times assume clear roads; in rush hour add five to ten minutes. Both apartments come with a free parking space – on a daily commute to the plant that is not a detail.
Why not simply stay in Klotzsche?
You could. But that is an industrial estate: gates, fences, a discount supermarket, and nothing happening after work.
Anyone staying four weeks notices the difference. From Friedrichstadt you are at the Zwinger in a twenty-minute walk, with pubs and shops around the corner and Saxon Switzerland forty minutes away by train at the weekend. The quarter of an hour you spend driving in the morning comes back threefold in the evening.
And you get what contractor accommodation at the factory gate rarely offers: a whole apartment rather than a room off a corridor, a kitchen you actually cook in, and a washing machine inside the flat (Wernerstraße).
What makes a good long-stay apartment, and how the invoicing works, is set out in full on the page contractor and long-stay apartments in Dresden.
For companies and project managers
Several large projects are running in Dresden at once. Infineon opened its Smart Power Fab in July 2026 – five billion euros, a thousand new jobs. At the ESMC construction site in Klotzsche, up to 5,500 people are expected to work at peak times. The Silicon Saxony cluster employs more than 80,000 people.
In practice that means accommodation in Dresden is in demand, and late searchers pay more or find nothing. What we offer:
- Invoice to the company, payment by bank transfer
- No accommodation tax on business travel – an informal employer confirmation is enough and we send the form
- Tiered rates from one week, noticeably lower from a month
- Both apartments at once for teams of up to eight
- One person to talk to, no booking platform in between
For longer periods and bigger teams, look ahead: a boarding house with seven apartments is in preparation. If you need capacity you can plan with, tell us early.
Frequently asked
What project teams usually ask
Can I drive onto the plant site?
That is up to each plant, not us. With us your car stands free of charge in its own space – outdoors at Wernerstraße, suitable for large vehicles. At Cottaer Straße it is a double-decker lift limited to 2,000 kg, where large SUVs and vans do not fit.
Does shift work fit?
Yes. We set no check-in times, the access code works around the clock. Arriving at night and sleeping by day disturbs nobody – just please respect the neighbours' quiet hours.
How fast is the Wi-Fi?
Fast enough for video calls and company systems. Both apartments also have a proper desk, not just the dining table.
Can several colleagues be invoiced separately?
The apartment is let as a whole and the invoice goes to one recipient, usually the company. We can split it on request – just say so in your enquiry.
How short notice can we book?
If it is free, from one day to the next. The platforms have not released 2027 yet – with us you can book bindingly for next year already.
Planning for 2027?
2027 is open here – not yet on Booking or Airbnb
The platforms have not released 2027 yet. If you are already planning – for a trade fair, a longer assignment or next summer – you can still secure your dates with us. Send us the dates and we will confirm bindingly.
Enquiry
Dates and headcount – we will price it
Tell us which plant, which period and how many people. You get a concrete offer with a price, not an availability notice.
If the invoice goes to a company, include the billing address and a purchase order number straight away – then we can settle it in one round.
